I am with a company called Eastern Athletic Clubs. We design and build Health clubs bars and restrants in N.Y.We maintain all of our own buildings.
Thanks for any thing that would help Jamie
Jamie, I don't think you'll find a CARE 2.0 course.
CARE has been updated numerous times since then - 2.0, 2.2, 4.0, 5.0, 7.0, and now 8.0
Although the GUI is still the same - 16-bit graphics, very archaic looking.
The tool was developed in Germany, and the latest changes in functionality have to deal with how it integrates with an LNS database.
If you have a SymmetrE front-end with an LNS database I'd be really careful what you get into. It could become your worst nightmare.
Good Luck,

I want to take the latest care course I already took one care course I want to take the second course.I do have a Symmetre in which no one wants to work with so I would love to replace that also any way thanks for the tip.

It all depends on what you have on your system.
If it's comprised of mostly XL10s, you should look for a competent local Honeywell contractor who can convert the system to Niagara/AX.
You'll be much happier with the front end.
As far as a DIY approach, I'm not sure a couple of CARE classes would suffice.
SymmetrE is now at version R310 and many issues have been fixed since R200, and the hardware requirements have gone up considerable. (Do you have at least 1GB of RAM on your front end machine?)
To be happy with what you currently have, you'd need to upgrade you CARE project, download the latest firmware rev to the controllers (XL50s and XL500's), re-download their applications (how good is the program you have in them to begin with?) and upgrade SymmetrE to R310. On top of that, you'd still need to worry about graphics, LNS database synchronization, device credits, etc.
Like I said before, It can become your worst nightmare.

Sounds like fun I have 27 controlers 4 XL500's Mostly XL100's and XL50's.
we do have a r200 front end and have been told a R310 will be better.I took a end user class on this the R310 and am taking a contractors class in Aug.I feel up to the challange and really am enjoying working with controls.Like I said I do have my pjt files as well as back ups for the front end but those pjt files will only work with care is this right or is there another route?Any way thanks for any thing else

Honestly, I'd seriously consider moving to AX. It's where the future is headed.
I know it's possible to integrate XL50's and XL500's into AX - if they have the LON cards instead of the C-BUS cards. Also there's the address table limitation issue (46 total NVs I believe), and all points would have to be exposed as SNVTs so the JACE could read them. (Internally they're all c-bus points) There are a ton of caveats and workarounds to watch out for. XL100's on the other hand, not much you could do - I don't believe they have lon interfaces - so you'd have to replace those controllers. You are correct about the .pjt file. Only CARE can read it, and it should allow you to restore and convert the project up to the latest version of care (that is - once you become an authorized HW contractor and have a copy of CARE).
until then, you're basically SOL. It'd be less of a headache to find a competent contractor to give you a quote. You could end up with an unusable system otherwise.

Digo makes some excellent points if your system is LON based. AX is great compared to the hassles of LNS and SymmetrE.
However, if your controllers are all C-Bus, I would go with the SymmetrE upgrade.
SymmetrE with C-Bus = Great :)
SymmetrE with LNS = Pain in the neck (compared to AX) :(
