... i'm fed up with it , it's over.
these people are crazy.
i drive for a living so, it's nice to be able to stop off at stores or fast food places, but these people are going too far.
i used to buy one of the larger pints of chocolate milk, in the mornings, fot $1.29, which i wasn't happy about paying,
then, the raised it to $1.39, then they raised it to $1.69 and that's when i stopped buying them,
now you go in there and chocolate milk is 2 bucks for the small one, most places out here stopped selling the large one.
Gatoraid, which is a product i could really use in the summer, is now up to $2.89 for the larger size.
this is just flavored water that isn't even carbonated, it costs them nothing.
the extra large bottle of water is 3 bucks!
i'm not paying it!
some people make 8 bucks an hour and you're gonna go to the Kwiki Mart and drop 12 bucks in 5 minutes?
these people are high , they're crazy, i'm not buying them anymore mansions.

i purchased a reverse osmosis system for $150.00
the tap water at my house isn't that bad to begin with, i'm going to rig it to send the flush water to my tree
i'm going to use it to keep my water dispensor full
and i kept some Gatoraid bottles, and instead of buying that stuff i'm going to fill them with Kool-aid :D , using good old fashioned sugar.
i know Kool-aid has a bad reputation and i'm not really a big fan of it myself, but i have no other choice,
it's the same crap as Gatoraid, except they use different sweeteners,
i could probably get Splenda if i really wanted.
i would rather have sugar then these experimental sweeteners they've been giving us.

and what's with these fast food places jacking up their prices?
i went to El pollo Loco and i saw their burrito and chips is $8.99
these people are on crack too , they think i'm going to cover their gas bill increases?

You know you can buy the Gaterade powder and mix it yourself...don't you?
Or buy the drinks in bulk at a Sam's Club , BJs, etc.

Hold on their Einstein. First, Gatorade isn't the same as kool aid. Not even close. Kool Aid is..sugar, and nothing else. Drinking Kool Aid in the summer can actually increase your chance of dehydrating. And of course they expect you to pay their higher gas bills. They're a business. If you drive for a living, haven't you, or the company you work for, ever raised your prices you charge customers to cover higher gas prices, material costs, etc? I bought a big bottle of Gatorade today for $1.99

Around here we still enough American run conv. stores with homemade biscuits, BBQ, chicken, etc. that I don't bother with Apu's places anymore. We buy water or other drinks and snacks in bulk and rarely need to stop at stores anyway, except for something hot occasionally.

well if you read the WHOLE post you'll see i purchased a reverse osmosis system
I was watching a show on discovery channel about the waste plant filtering sewer water enough to make it drinking water
And they are finding alot of drugs in the water too
that's because 1 plus 1 equals 2
people purchase these worthless pharmiciticles, pee them out, the local government allows sewage to be turned into drinking water,
then they try to act like they don't know why they detect levels of drugs.
these reverse osmosis systems are supposed to be able to turn contaminated water into drinking water.
if i filter it myself then i'll know at least someone filtered it.
you know these companies like Coka-Cola , AKA Aquafina don't give a rat's ass

Real men take their water straight up or on the rocks:D
From what I hear the bottled stuff is no better for you than the stuff that comes out of your tap at home.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find any water that hasn't been through at least 1 set of kidneys. Effluent treated to human consumption standards is more pure than the stuff that comes in the bottles.
Bottled water is a multi billion dollar industry world wide. If they can convince people that the piped in stuff is in some way inferior their profits go up.
think about it.;)
There was a rumour doing the rounds that reusing bottled water bottles was bad for you. Some crap about reused bottles releasing contaminates into the water. Wonder how that got started?
Buy your milk drinks in bulk, get a freezer block, bung it in a cooler and take it to work with you. problem solved!

Yup, I pack my lunch everyday.... I used to eat out every single day. No way I'm paying for that crap anymore. However, when we have a job at Chili's (we have accounts with 16 of them) and they offer to feed me for free, I gladly acccept. And 4 bottles of water go in my lunchbox everyday.

Who says there's no such thing as a free lunch?

Hey Wofe, you need to move out of the hood. I mean that is the only place that charges sky high for everything to make it worth while for some risk their lives every day they operate their stores. I mean you said before that all they are using is R22 where you operate and I had to assume that must be in the hood where they really don't care about efficiency or "saving the environment". Now you say the prices are sky high. I hope you are packing heat when you make your calls and have a secure van to operate out of. :D:D:)

Theres nothing special about it, its just very well made tea, for a very fair price. The guy who runs the company started as a microbrewery, and then decided to move into tea. The big companies have tried to buy him out time and time again, but he wont sell. He prints the 99cents right on the can so the store cant overcharge.
