I am getting a hieff furnace installed and that will require 2 vents to be run outside. right now i have a vent from the hot water tank. it comes out of the wall and using 2 elbows, it snorkles up. i assume this is done to get it above grade and snow. its very ugly.

so when the guy does the furnace i'd prefer if he can put the vents in some nicer looking way. the vents stick out over the patio so its an area of the yard thats in use. so i want it to look nice.

i suggested a concentric kit but he said it cant be dont because its not high enough above grade. i get that. do you guys have any suggestions and/or pictures of similar installs you can share?

i looked at my neighbour's vents for his hieff trane they are uuuuggly. too bad about the concentric kit not working. the amount of effort and cost to run the vents through the inside wall and then out, to get the height, might cost too much. i'll ask how much. but an outside solution would be preferable.

thanks

Up through the roof is a good way to do it, if you have closets that line up.

So let Twilli get this right you want us to tell you how to tell the cheapest contractor you could find how to vent the furnace?

Is this what you meant in your other post about playing the game? Get the lowest price on the face of the earth and get information from this forum?

Twilli recommends that no other "pros" respond with any meanigfull information, he is under contract he claims so let his contractor solve his problems.

OK, you want to know how to vent system?

Look at the manufacture recommendations, it comes with the furnace. Go to furn man. web sight and look at the furnace you're getting.

Twilli wonders if you would mind giving us a link to the cheapest place to purchase this paint, or could Twilli use yours?

Look under your car and see how it's vented.
Better yet call a real contractor, pay him what he's worth and you will save time and money and get a real job installed!

Plexus,

Consult your contractor. This thread is going nowhere.
