Hi, I need to replace a evap coil on a 20+ year old trane split heat pump. Can I use any matching tonage coil that will fit? Origional replacment nla. thx Bob

Yes you can, Use a heat pump TXV though.

I would just replace the system due to your areas average run time and wear on th heat pump.

What is the cause of failure?

The failure type could also impact your out come with the total unit.
