I currently have an old HVAC unit in an 1200 sf. condo which has the AC unit and the Gas Heater (forced warm air) all in one unit (no outside AC unit).
The heater is about 100k BTU and the AC is 2.5 ton. It is 18 years old and not very efficient and needs replacement. Does anybody know who would make an replacement HVAC unit? I have checked the web and asked a few HVAC people and they all say they never heard of anything like that before.

100k FOR 1200 SQ FT? Somebody got way carried away.

Do you know a brand on this thing? There are these types still available. Magic Pak? Skymark? Fedders/Climatrol?

Try calling someone that works on trailer house systems. (I realize that you do not live in a trailer). This sounds a lot like an "Insider" Brand with a self-contained indoor package unit.

A lot of HVAC companies wont work on trailer housees. If you can find one that will then they may be able to help you. Look for a Coleman Brand dealer or check with a RV repair shop.

Post a pic.

Did you ask contractors, or just some HVAC guys you know.
100,000 heat, for that little place, wow.

Just replace it with a normal split system. Obviously there is a place for the furnace to sit, with the necessary services (gas and electric and drains). You just need to run copper to the outside. You have the power capabilities to run the condenser, you'll just need to get the power to the outside as well. If you're handy, you can do the carpentry required, which I wouldn't think would be that big of a deal. You might come out the same cost wise vs. trying to find the monster you speak of. This way parts would be easier to come by as well. I would ask the HVAC company what they would charge to do this.
