I am having problems viewing points on my ilon100. I can configure the points and then when I view them the status bar at the bottom says they are offline.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

What network management tool did you use? Maybe the devices are offline - this is often the default after commissioning.
Cheers,

Cheers,

I'm using lonwatcher and everything seems to be good on that end as the network is shown to be connected and I can configure the points on the ilon config utility. In the view datapoints page from the ilon it is saying the points are offline.

Something tells me your ilon is offline to the LNS network.

Are you making NVL's or NVE's? If you are making NVL's remember that you still need to bind the points to the devices.
When you pull up the device plugins you see datapoints?

NVE's

I don't know what I did or how I did it but it is working now.
This is going to take me awhile to figure out.

NVE's poll the network. There is a file giving the location. You can open it up and take a look. I haven't had time to mess with this new server yet, but if you did something on the network and the ilon wasn't updated that NVE file wouldn't match the nodes.... check into synchronization. I also used to go into that file directly and by substitution change the polling rates because you could wildcard change them all rather than dink with the web page interface.

sysint,
Thanks I'll check it out.
Maybe you can help me with a few other things;
Try not to laugh too hard because what I did was pretty stupid. When I was first going thru the ilon user manual and trying to make a simple web page with Contribute I somehow either moved or deleted the link to the opening page (the one with the service and standard buttons) and I lost access to that page. I ended up finding the file and placing the file (user/echelon/index.html) directly in the web folder to get things to work again. I have started to layout my web page by using following the user guide and linking it to the standard button but it doesn't seem to work right. I only get the log in page when I click on the service button and when I try to click the back button it just tries to access the server and then times out. I can't help but think I have the main page (user/echelon/index.html) in the wrong place if you know what I mean.

Do you know of any way to restore the files in the server to
the factory set up?

Thanks,

Problem solved.
Apparently I was missing the last two updates.

On the service page, select Setup: Cleanup. Also, the iLON software installation puts image files in Lonworks\iLON100 on your harddrive.

The main page is located in the /web directory and is index.htm (not .html), so that's where you want to edit the link for the Standard button to point to the index page in your user directory.
