All,

I got a quote for 2.5 t 13 seer R22(freon) AC unit for my new construction house.

I understand these are all pretty basic models?
How important is it to get something better?
Noise level is usually important to us.
I plan to live in this house for a long time.

I need help choosing wich one to install (3 are the same price)

1. Keeprite C2A3306KA (can't find on the web, that's the only 13 seer model (http://www.keeprite.com/products/23ac.html))

2. Carrier 24ABR (link (http://www.commercial.carrier.com/wcs/dynamiclit_result/1,2759,CLI1_DIV41_ETI4922_NBD_PRD1286,00.html))
PDF (http://www.docs.hvacpartners.com/idc/groups/public/documents/techlit/24abr3-3pd.pdf)
76 dB
(model code - 24=AC A=RES AC B=Base R=R---22 3=13 SEER)

3. Lennox 13ACD30 link (http://www.lennox.com/products/overview.asp?model=13ACD)
76 dB

I am in Toronto.

Thanks

The Keeprite is a deluxe unit with extra sound deadening features, compressor protection & diagnostics and great warranty.

The Carrier and Lennox units are low end models. The Lennox is particularly cheaply built. Starting to see a lot of them around here as Lennox has gotten aggressive with builders. That's good for our biz, that and how poorly they are installed.
