Heat Pump Compressor Blanket

does anyone have any experience with an aftermarket heat pump compressor blanket? do they work as advertised? are there any drawbacks such as heat? i plan to use it on a noisy scroll compressor. thanks.

They work, to an extent.
Depends on how loud the compressor is.
