That's a good article. There are several others that tell the same thing with more (or less) clarity.
I have a Power Point Presentation that animates everything said in most articles on design of condensate traps. I haven't figured out how to attach it to this post. So, if you'll e-mail me,(my address is in my profile), I'll send it to you by e-mail.
It was constructed on Power Point 2007. If you have an older version, I've been told the animation doesn't work very well.

Just becareful that the RTU does not have an internal trap already, they will get plugged fairly quick if another trap is installed.
