That is awesome, those stubby driver are the bomb in alot of confined areas, it makes it easy to take out screws, but when it comes to putting them back in, thats where its a time consuming biatch. Do they have to be ordered directly from Klein?

I for the life of me cannot understand why it takes them so long to make Magnetically tip Nut Driver.
I send suggestion after suggestion for years.
Similarly with Magnetically sleeved Spark Plug socket. rather than the stupid rubber sleeved .

I wasn't aware that the 3/8 stubby had been out for awhile. Have been searching for one for awhile and my distributor did not have them listed in their catalog. The new catalog came out a few weeks ago and now lists them. I know Malco had been making one, but my experience with Malco nut drivers is that they strip out with in a week or two and the magnet they are not deep barrel drivers cause the magnet is placed dead center on there longer drivers.
Other than that, just happy that they are finally offering magnetized tips on the stubbys, thats all.
The 3/8 stubby is great for removing the shipping bolt from the motor on certain residential equipment. Also, nice for getting to the upper bolts on certain Lennox GCS rtu units blower cages for removal. Been using my socket set for these jobs, but not now.
WooHoo...as for obtaining them, need to find out who distributes them in your area, and have them order them in on there next stock order. I find that the local HVAC distributors like US Airconditioning and others are more willing to do it. HomeDepot and Lowes just order whats sells and trying to special order a tool through them is like ramming a railroad spike between your nuts.

I really like klein's nut drivers and the magnet is handy, but i think they make a poor screwdriver anyone have an alternative to klein for screwdrivers??

ditto. About a year ago I caught a sale on Greenlee Electricans Commercial grade hand tools bundled with a soft tool bag. The non-insulated screw drivers are great, as are the pliers and dykes.

Stanley makes these nice demolition drivers
http://www.stanleytools.com/default.asp?CATEGORY=DEMOLITION+DRIVERS&TYPE=PRODUCT&PARTNUMBER=67-546&SDesc=2+Piece+FatMax%26%23174%3B+Xtreme%26%238482% 3B+Demolition+Driver+Set
Screwdriver where the shank goes all the way to the tail and has a strike cap and they are designed to be beat on with a hammer. I guess they figured most people use their screwdrivers to do stuff like pry, chissel and whatnot so why not design a heavy duty screwdriver that can take the abuse.
