The Cross-over

I have been thinking of crossing over from the resi side of things to commercial. I have a couple companys that are interested.I have spent the last 5 years putting up with HO's and contractors in resi. I was just looking for some suggestions or advise which would make the transition smoother. I'm looking at doing service and maintenance which I've done.

Things aren’t going to change too much if your running service, still putting up with people, and likely contractors if you’re looking towards a mechanical contractor. You’re electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills should be top notch, if you've never delt with commercial equipment or refrigeration on the job, or in a classroom that might be a BIG step.

I've seen co workers that thought they were the man doing residental from 10+ years step in front of a simple split walkin cooler and just f everything up. Including just piping from the evap to the condenser.

It will change from the homeowner being pissed, to the boss being pissed if your taking to long to just figure problems out.
