I am thinking of getting this. Any suggestions on this meter?

Not used one, not heard good things about them though.

Testo 435 seems to be the choice right now, do a search and it should yield some good info.

What is your primary use? the Testo 510 will do differential, pitot, etc, for a lot less money. It also has adjustable air density.

The Fluke is made in China.

Mainly I am doing residential, new installs. I would like to compare my new installs with my Manual J and Manual D calculations. I would like to take static pressure readings on both sides of blower. I would also like to take cfm and fpm readings in different parts of the house.

the 510 will do all that, min max and average, fpm with pitot, you would have to multiply by area in ft squared to get CFM. About $175 US. Also take a look at the 416, a mini vane.

The Testo may not be- haven't checked. Maybe Jim can let us know next time he checks in.

The Fluke is selling for Made in USA prices, not made in China prices.

testo is made in germany , problem is it was made for german engineers and can be hard to understand the setup and user instructions.

It may be assemblied in the fatherland but the everything else will be made in China.
