Ive got a humidifier system that feeds 2 air handlers that serve electronic equipment rooms. It's a glorified pressure whasher with the nozzles in the ducting. On a call for moisture, the nozzle line solenoids slam open with 1000psi behind them and then slam shut when not needed. The building occupants are complaining about the noise (mechanical room has common wall to offices) and the Unistrut is ripping itself off the wall from the water hammer. The manufacturer was no help. Does anyone make piping clamps that dampen vibration and hammer?

I would change out the nozzle solenoids and put in valves. Motors for these should be say, 30 sec. This will completely eliminate the water hammer.
Thanks. Mike:eek:

I'd put in ASCO Red Hat Slow opening solenoids and be done with it.
Should'a been spec'd. in the first place.

The ASCO #8221 Slow closing valve.
See their site.
And Good Luck.
