Looking to see if anyone has dealt with the Carrier 3V Control system and VVT Bypass Controller Before.
I'm looking for some brains to pick..... Have you had the system loose communication to itself before for no apparent reason. The fix is power down controls and then back on and system runs fine for an extended period of time?

What is losing comms? The Bypass controler or the air source? What indication do you have of it losing comms?

Are you loosing total communications to the entire system or just linkage communictions as djken inquired?
Are you powering down all the devices or just one to restore communicatons?
How are you verifying you have lost communications and then reverifying communications is back?
Some more information on the conditions and installation would be helpful.

When I arrive the pilot states that it is in occupied mode but the heat is off. Set point is 70, space temp 59 but no call for heat. The first day it stated that it had lost communication while attaching to a zone. It just froze while reading the zone blocks. I did not see where the error was on that instance. The second time had no problems reading zones. I assume that it is a linkage problem because both times cycling the power to the 3V system solved the issue. By the way the air source is an RTU with comfortlink. We know that a couple of suction line transducers are bad on the RTU could this cause us problems in heat mode?

No ...suction transducers shouldn't have anything to do with it.
It sounds like it may be a bus traffic issue. Make sure you only have one time broadcaster and only one broadcast acknowledger. Are you using a global scheduler or a master setpoint?
