I'm currently woking on a job where the house was built in the early 1900's. Realy neat house. Very big. I need to locate some original solid brass floor registers. The size of them is 56 x 2 1/4. Could anyone point in the right direction of where to even start.
Thankyou for any info or insight you could provide.

Try this place i have found lots of cast iron radiators exact matches for homes here in MN that have been foreclosed and froze up but they have everything. One big antique house salvage yard.

Don't know where you are located, but there is a company here called Architectural Salvage. They salvage a huge amount of material and fixtures from older turn-of-the-century homes. Everything from hinges and lamp fixtures, to mantel pieces and radiators / register and grilles.

You might try googling "architectural salvage" and see if there is something similar in your neighborhood.

All the best, Irish
