Does anyone know where to find information on the slide valve operation of compressor #2 of a YCAS110 style F?

If loading or unloading problems occur, use these trouble-shooting steps to hepl identify the problem. #1 WILL NOT LOAD (Micropanel display indicates' STEPS=75) ''Apply 12 VDC to the capacity control valve. The valve should open fully and the compressor should fully load,as indicated by an increase in amp draw (expected 70+ %FLA) If the compressor does not load, the capacity control valve should by replaced. # 2 WILL NOT UNLOAD (Micropanel display indicates '' STEPS = 0 ) Disconnnect control voltage to the capacity control valve. The compressor should fully unload, indicated by a decrease in amp draw (expected 35-45%+-FLA) If the compressor does not unload, capacity control valve should by replaced. Control voltage output should be 0 VDC at 0 Steps. If 12 -18 VDC is present, i/o Expansion boad is faulty and should be replaced.

Ive also heard of a service mode that will let you manually open the electronic expansion valves among other things... does anyone know how to enter it

You need service bullitan 230.10-M1 (804). Explains the unloading/loading problems on the DXS compressors. Spring replacement, bypass line, solenoid valves, etc.
