I think the transformation is just about complete. blacks used to be at the bottom of the totem pole, but not no more.
Obama is surging in the poles especially with young people. This should not be surprising. Everything black is "in" today. Whether its rap or hip hop music, or sports stars like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan or even the majority of movies nowadays have black actors and story lines. All the fashion that kids wear today is from the black urban culture. Black gangsters, not Italians are the cool gangesters. The new generation has been seriously influenced in every aspect of their daily life by black role models and heroes. It only makes sense that they will see a black politician as superior to a white one.
And considering the competition, I'm starting to think Obama will win. I'm not saying any of this is good or bad. I'm not even sure if I'm makin sense, but I figured this is the perfect place to post something like this.

And I am not at all sure you have any kind of valid point other than trying to be condescending?

newoldtech,
ARPC has made a slight edit to your post to correct an element that could have been taken differently than you probably intended.
Folks,
Keep the discussion decent please.
Thank you,

Obama, Edwards, Hiliary they are all hard core socialists who want to drastically change our country for the worse. Nothing to get excited or happy about. It will be a sad day indeed if any ot them make it to the White House. I guess some on this forum will love it though. What a shame. That's my opinion for what it is worth. L\SU is winning though so I am happy tonight.

Barack won't get elected. He is a dreamer. Unfortunately someone has to pay for all those dreams.

well just sit back and watch it happen and you can largely thank the conservatives for letting it happen, why you ask? It's simple, they are for sale just like the liberals proving to be no different
Man...that was like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire wasn't it?

That'll be the day, Mr. Bill. It does put a glimmer of hope onto the horizon though.

You're not making much sense. But it looks like you pretty much documented the cause and the destruction and rot of Detroit and other cities that are following.

Not that I care much for his politics or that I myself would vote for Obama, but I have no problem calling him my president should he win the election. As a matter of fact, it might be nice to get that stigma behind us and start looking at all Americans in the same light rather then at their race, color or gender.
Remember folks, it was not so long ago, within my lifetime, that it was a major ordeal that an Irish Catholic became president.
If nothing else, Obama's continuing rise gives me hope that not all Democrats are totally stupid when it comes to supporting a candidate.

Hell Robo, don't be so pas-say about this. Obama is just one step from a full fledged commie in my opinion. Black or whatever color it is Red to me. That goes for Hiliary and Edwards too. Listen to what they say.

I'm definetely not trying to be racist, just making what I think are obvious observations. I am even considering voting for him. People need to grow up and be able to intelligently discuss things.
Another point how things have changed in recent years. You never see a minority portraying a thug or a thief in TV commercials any more. If they are showing a robber for a home security commercial he is always white. Like it or not thats whats going on. I guess it could be considered payback for all the years of negative black sterotypes.

I think he would do much better if he grew his hair out and had a 3 foot tall nappy afro. He could hide his speaches in there and photos of his wife that looks like the Mrs butterworth syrup bottle.:D

Yeah you're right, the white man is responsible for all the ills of the world and should be put in his proper place, after all other races never sterotype white people. Those security commercials are finally letting the truth come forth, we knew it was those white folks all along :)

No problem with the edit. I know people can be politically correct or just sensitive, I am too at times. I am just stating what I believe are facts.
