"Andrews and other attorneys representing the claimants will receive a fee of $465,000"

Yeah, that seems about right. People with claims for their dead pets can get up to $1000.00, also payment for up to two bags of dog food.

That's what I hate about class action lawsuits. The lawyers are usually the only winners. I had one of those 'side saddle' gas tanks in a chevy pickup truck. I was part of the settlement and got a coupon for $ off a new truck. So let me get this right, lawyers get millions, I get to keep driving my death trap truck or I can get some money off a new one that I couldn't afford and chevy sells another vehicle. WooHoo! Everyone won but me. Even the 'defendant' of that suit won when they lost.

Thats exactly how those suits work. You as the consumer gets a small stipend compared to what the litigators get. I get notices all the time about class action suits regarding my investment portfolio... I ignore them... Most of them are because someone lost money... Boo hooo... So did I. Thats the risk of the market. But I also know that a class action is not going to net me back the money I lost. I will only make money for the counsel. Eff that. I'll just lick my wounds, thank you very much.
