Quite a cold day we are having in the Northeast as well. Right now it is 5 degrees with a wind chill making it feel like 12 below zero.

I hate it when the inside of my car windows also frost up!

Mid teens overnight here. I actually had to stoke up the wood stove to recover 4 degrees my little heat pump couldn't keep up with.

I was -14° this morning, but it did heat up to above 32° today! First time in at least 2 weeks! We've been in a deeeeeeep freeze.

I had the pleasure of replacing 80 16X25X2 filters on a roof yesterday. Downtown Chicago at 15° with windchill around -1°. All in one HUGE air handler. We're supposed to get up to a blistering 35° today. Yippieeeee!

What kind of airhandler takes 80 filters??? Our 20 ton units took 6.......that thing must be the size of a house.

I have the answer...it seems poor Otto had the doors open on both sides and kept filling the filter racks until they could not take any more...and he was having a good day...:(

I've got one building with 3 Intellipaks "2-75 tonners and 1-105 ton" with a total of 75 filters. Then there's the smaller package units tossed around.

Did you throw the old filters off the roof?:) I p.m'd one here and the roof edge is near our const. dept. rolloff. Started tossing the old filters off and heard someone yell. Looked out and saw a guy "Dumpster Diving" for some scrap metal. He was right inside the dumpster. I kept on tossin them in.:D
