Finally made my mind up this year to pick up a spot somewhere in florida. The thing is were?. Been checking on the web and the north central doesnt seem to bad for land prices but obviously Id have to check, probably under water. Or down by Homosassa? The thing is do I buy land and then by a trailer down there or buy the trailer with the land. I dont want to pay a dumb ass lot fee 300-500+ a month. There is a ton of sub divisions going up. 1/4 TO 1/2 ACRE LOTS, Any from down that way who can help would be appreciated, cant wait to get away from this shi$%^ weather if only for a few weeks a year:D thanks Victor

My parents winter in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Its subtropical there, well they got grapefruit and oranges growing.
They rent a spot in a park, leave a big trailer down there year round. Fairly economical place.

I hate cold weather. Really enjoyed my Navy years in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Trying to convince the wife to move below Atlanta. I'd prefer below Ocala.

We're going to have the coldest day yet in the last year. Suposed to get down to 55*, but get back up to 75* for the day.
As for Florida, do a search. Alot of people buy condos, and rent them out, same with the trailers.
North of Orlando is about your best bet on pricing right now, or, if you have the money, its a buyers market anywhere I've looked.

dont want to spend over 30k, I guess. Had a few rentals here in wi. and am afraid Ill have to paint and clean up the place every time we go down there:D
you canpick up land for say $7000-$10000 acre, but then you have to do the electric septic and water gig. I still have about 5 months before ILL be set up to buy so ILL keep checking. The time comes and ILL get several places to check and go down and look. ILL BE DAMNED IF I STAY HERE THE WHOLE WINTER NEXT YEAR. I have always hated it. I think my mom was playing around with a mexican person, I crave the heat and spanish food all year. Thanks guys, Victor:eek:

Perfect working weather, 105 degrees and a 15 mph wind. It's in the 50's and 60's. Too cold. Nothing like working in a -30 degrees freezer and have to run back and forth to the roof at 105 degrees ambient and 135 in the condenser. I miss it already.
