Almost, ............first it was baseball when they were up 3 games to none and then lost the next 4.
And yesterday if the Colts win over Tennessee, Cleveland makes the playoffs.
So the game is close, Colts can win with a touchdown.
End of game, running the clock and if Dungy takes a time out the Colts get one last crack at it, with maybe 35 seconds, or ya could block a punt, or get lucky.
Dungy lets the clock run out rather then even try.
Never seen that before, if you show up to play then you need to try and win.
I can see taking starters out and all that, but never seen a team just let it go like that, couldn't believe it.
Dungy must really hate Cleveland, if I was him I wouldn't go there any time soon.:D

Cleveland isn't what I want to see in the playoffs.
What was it? Two weeks ago? I caught the end of the cleveland/cincinatti game (before the Pats came on). Let's see, Cinci was winning by 5 late in the game and were driving downfield... and what do you know? They cough it up.
So, cleveland takes over with 1:48 left to go and had 1 timeout remaining. They then go on to execute the most putrid no-huddle drive in the history of the game.
The Browns fill me with nothing but apathy, but even *I* was yelling at the TV!
THROW THE DARN BALL DOWNFIELD!
Cleveland is not playoff worthy regardless of what Dungy did.
I felt pretty much the same way about the Giants Saturday night. My brother and I looked at each other as if to say "wtf are they doing?" on that last drive they had. What made it even worse is that had already executed a tremendous no-huddle drive earlier in the game before the half. It was like they just forgot what to do.

I know a few million people from Ohio that would disagree with you,
A lot of teams won't do well in the playoffs, but it is still nice to get there, for many reasons.
According to your logic we may as well just give NE the trophy right now.
3 years ago, the Steelers lost 5 games and looked like they were done, They had all road games left, they won out and got the ring that year, so ya never know.

You're making my point for me. In other words, with thier backs to the wall and thier fate in thier own hands, they took care of business.
Cleveland did not do the same. It's as simple as that.
Don't get me wrong, I think the Browns had a very good year. I didn't see them as a 10 win team at the start of the year. They JUST missed it. Better luck next year.
How me saying that they are not a playoff worthy team (that Cinci drive was one of the ugliest things I have ever seen in the NFL), however, does not suggest that I think that we don't even need to play the games. The Pats were hardly the favorite in thier first SB win, eh?

:D
I always said they should make players and coaches bet on their own team, like 10% of the days pay. Bet against the team they are playing. Winning team makes 20% more than the loosing team. That would end the sluffing off.

I still think Dungy should have taken a time out and tried to win, no matter what.
Not sure I ever saw that before, I think it was wrong considering the playoff implications.
