i have a 2 wire stat now 240v i got a 4 wire stat given to me and not sure how to wire it .

Don't wire it. Get an electrician to wire it. You may not have a stat that's compatible with electric baseboard and that could be hazardous to you health.

got it figured out guys its ok i got my meter out an tested how the old an new one worked then i wired it up and it works

I don't think their allowed to make the 2 wire any more. They aren't considered safe.
Might want to change out the rest of your old stats also.
