Has anyone experienced the automatic(or lack of) refreshing when browsing logged in with a basic view in AX platform. There seems to be no problem when using the default web view but when you don't want your user to see the navigation tree the basic view doesn't refresh when you initially log in.

It depends on the version you are running, but there was an updated Workbench jar file a while back, you should be able to find out the details on Niagara Central

I ran into this problem today as well. It trys to access the floppy drive for some reason when you log in and wont refresh the screen. DefaultWB does it too, but it will refresh. Thanks for the info on the .jar.

there was an issue with the 3.2.16 workbench.jar file that when using a profile without side bars like the basic or handheld the page would not load properly when first logging in. If you hit the browser refresh button, then the page would load. Seems like you needed 3.2.16.1 or newer workbench.jar to fix the problem.

checkvalve is right. I had the same issue a few months back and tech support sent be 3.2.16.1, which resolved the problem.

So I'll have to connect to all my AX Jaces to upgrade the jar file so those Jaces will refresh properly?

yes, any of them that are serving up graphics. just use the software manager to upgrade the workbench jar file.
