Does any one have a copy of the Belimo Valve Sizing and Selection Tool (US ) Version? I found one for the euro market and the Belimo web page says that the tool is under construction, hoping to get a copy of the old one to use in the mean time.

Are you looking for the excel schedule for sizing??

I have the older version without all the darn drop down selections. I may also have the newer version but I think it’s a pain to use. I also have the steam sizing sheet.

Shoot me an email.

Better yet.

Going stealth with the forum. Rename these to .xls.

I added a macro to the water sheet. Ctrl-H will hide all the pricing info and other BS for submittals. Ctrl-U will bring it all back.

Save as .xls not .pdf. They are Excel files not PDF's.

The forum does not allow excel files, hence why I changed it to the .pdf extension

The reason I posted is they make a great spreadsheet for sizing. The steam sheet needs a bit of explanation but the water is very straight forward. These spreadsheets can be used to size any manufactures valves and I thought would provide a good benefit to the site. If anyone one has a question on how to use them feel free to ask.

I also am working on a Ruskin damper schedule that will price and provide a nice submittal view. If anyone is interested, post here. It will be similar to the honeywell damper schedule.

I am also looking for a Belimo valve selection tool. Has anyone located one?

Much Thanks!

Honeywell just released a new estimating tool in December.

Siemens released their updated tool awhile back.

Hello everyone,

I have to size a bunch of valves for the heating coil in VAV boxes as well as the needed valves for the Heating System (Boilers).

In the Spec documents specifies the following:

"Booster-heat valves shall be sized not to exceed 4-9psi differential pressure..."
"Primary valves shall be sized no to exceed 5-15psi differential pressure..."

My question is, which specification is for coils in VAV boxes and which one for the valves in Heating System pipe?

I'm not sure about what is called "Booster-Heat valve" and what is called "Primary valve".

I could think that "Primary valve" is for the central plant (HWS in this case) and "Booster-heat valve" is for the coils in VAVs.

Please help me to clarify.

Thanks in advanse.

Is that the controls spec section ie 15900? Your assumption sounds correct but best to call whomever wrote the spec.

Well in this case the section is 230900 in Specs. Yeah, I think is the best option.

Thanks, :putergreet:
