I saw on the news once there's a gay pride convention I think in Madison.

Oh goody, the clash of the supermen.....

These particular conventions are very informal and are put on by the members of this forum. Where we have the annual convention is up to who is going to host the next one.

I think the one after Colorado is going to be in Canada. I'd be more then happy to go to Wisconsin if someone there decided to host the convention there.

So far;

Dice's have done Pittsburgh
Reefertech and RoBo have done Baltimore
Beencool's have done Vermont
and, selfemployeds have done North Carolina

So far, every one has been a blast and a great way to spend a weekend.

We all said the same about Pittsburgh once upon a time. You showed us there is more to Pittsburgh then lobotomy studies and so someone from Wisconsin can surely show us there is more to Wisconsin then frozen Cheese.

HVAC-Talk conventions have seemed East Coast weighted. Perhaps having one more centrally located in the U.S., ahem St. Louis maybe?

Do we have attractions that might even interest the most tentative hvac/r tech? Consider:

Tour the largest U.S. brewery: http://www.budweisertours.com/ and the tour and beer samples are free!

Which has proved a magnet for a number of microbreweries/brew pubs one can visit: http://www.schlafly.com/ http://www.morganstreetbrewery.com/ http://www.squareonebrewery.com/ , all in the downtown area.

http://www.alandalebrewing.com/ is in fashionable Kirkwood. And I can think of three others further out. http://www.augustabrewing.com/ http://www.ofallonbrewery.com/ofallonbrewery.html http://www.trailheadbrewing.com/

Did I say there was beer in St. Louis? Yes, we are a net exporter.

And, of course, the Gateway Arch: http://www.nps.gov/archive/jeff/arch.html the tallest monument in the U.S. And unlike the Washington monument, you can ride a tram up to the top

Casinos everywhere: http://www.harrahs.com/casinos/harrahs-stlouis/hotel-casino/property-home.shtml http://www.ameristarcasinos.com/stcharles/index.asp http://www.casinoqueen.com/ http://www.presidentcasino.com/stlouis/ and our newest downtown casino which opened up about a week ago: http://www.lumiereplace.com/

Six Flags for the fair goers: http://www.sixflags.com/stLouis/index.aspx

Actually, there are also a few attractions for the more sophisticated. But I'll skip for brevity.

The HVAC/R industry, of course, is well represented in St. Louis. Might I name a few? SPORLAN, Hussmann, Nordyne, True, Emerson, SPORLAN, Engineered Air. And you might get to meet some its brightest individuals. A tour perhaps at one of these fine facilities?

Sounds good Andy. So we will be seeing you at the convention in Colorado this year to discuss your hosting a future convention in St. Louis?

Perhaps. I enjoy visiting Colorado during the summer, even if the beer isn't quite as good as what I'm used to. :D

what do you think we do on these conventions? learn about work? NO we drink, eat, drink some more and basically blow off steam no need to get us to a place where we have to use our brains. it just isnt ethical :D

What the hell is there to do in Wisconsin? We eat good food and drink better beer. The problem with Wisconsin is that there is too much to do.

We have the biggest music festival (Summerfest).
We have ethnic festivals all summer.
We have the Harley thing this year.
More than 10,000 lakes...
More bars and decent food. I remember last time the Badgers were in the Rose Bowl the Badger fans drank Pasedena out of beer. That doesn't happen here...
We really don't have bad highway conditions with traffic jams.
Reasonable prices on food, beer and lodging.

The people are nice to most outsiders, even FIB's. (The "I" stands for Illinois.... figure out the rest on your own)

If you don't mind me bringing my wife along. And she will also want to see Arches, Canyonland, Bryce, and Zion in Utah. And also visit Moab for their fine brewpubs. ;)

I don't think that your sexual orientation needs to be stated in this forum unless you want to start another string of Gay HVAC Techs Unite. Maybe hold a Gay HVAC Tech Convention at your house instead of Madison.

And you call yourself a Professional....lol

How about a nice porterhouse grilled rare and heavy on the season all. Did anyone else get their grill going on Monday's 44' Heat Wave? Does anyone else outhere have a dual fuel Aussie grill? I have it made my Dad raises beef and I get all my freezer can hold. Beer sounds good but I can't drink any more I'm allergic.

Sorry, no Wheelbaron has been my on line name for all sorts of things for a long time. I use it when I sign up for stuff on line, and when I first got here it was the same. Untill last month I had the web address as well, but did not renew it this time.

I do like to fish, but never seem to have the time these days.

It's the Vermonters, Canadians and Chicago folk you gonna watch. Especially ones with pimped out Elements.

I wore this Bennington refrigeration t shirt yesterday and it made me empty the cooler. Day before the Santa shirt was no better. The AMI shirt is today and it's looking like much of the same.

Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a WoW Gold (http://www.usfine.com/) genre of online computer role-playing games (CRPGs) in and which a large number of players interact with one another in a virtual world. As in all RPGs, So please try WoW Powerleveling (http://www.usfine.com/World-of-Warcraft-US-Pl-c-53.html) and players assume the role of a fictional character not Runescape Powerleveling (http://www.usfine.com/Runescape-Powerleveling-c-90.html) and (most commonly in a fantasy world),and take control over many of that character's actions.MMORPGs are distinguished from single-player or small multi-player CRPGs by the number of players, and by the game's persistent world, usually hosted by the game's publisher, which continues to exist or and evolve while the player is away from the game.someone said that is a great idear, but i think it's a nice choose! why? because that and Maple Story Mesos (http://www.usfine.com/Maple-Story-c-71.html) it's a best games items for mmorpg, and somefor games player not to be our best games, lol~ we should try and buy some also we can learn some to improve our games account! ThanksRunescape (http://www.usfine.com/Runescape-Powerleveling-c-90.html)

Go print your junk to someone who cares. This web site is for hvac professionals, not someone trying to proimote a stupid game. This guy needs to be banned quick.
