HELP! Trane xl90 won't fire, won't start up

Its 15 degrees out and my XL90 gas furnace wont fire up - the vent blower comes on when I turn up the thermostat, but nothing else - I'm thinking that the ignition system is faulty? Its Saturday and I can't find a service guy, so am depsperately hoping for some advice on how to diagnose... . Help???

Unfortunately site rules prohibit DIY advice other than to keep looking for a pro. Strange that in a cold area, local companies don't have someone on-call on a Sat AM. Likely it will need parts anyway.

Self diagnosis won't help you when you couldn't get the part(s) to repair it anyway. Let your fingers do the walking...yellow pages.
