Al Gore is thumping his movie "Inconvenient Truth" says there is a consensus of scientists that CO2 is the main cause of global warming.

Not so according to Lawrence Solomon columnist for the Canada National Post who has interviewed numerous scientists' that disagree.

One article states that since 1957 the temperature in Anartica has steadily dropped.

Personally do we need to reduce CO2 emissions? Yes! Do we need the Al (Henny Penny the sky is falling) Gore oversensationalizing that the earth is still warming up after the mini ice age? No!

If co2 was the problem then God made a mistake making all animals breath in oxygen and exhaling co2

I'll bet you'll feel like a stupid a$$ if you're wrong. If science isn't a goal there is always someone who will give another opinion. Means nothing. Only science applied to the problem at hand has any validity.
Opinions are like a$$holes, every one has one, or two.

Hmmmm.

Obviously you think that I don't believe that we shouldn't reduce CO2 emissions. Reread what I wrote.

There is great debate as to what is causing global warming. Debate is good it is how we learn. But when someone lies and says that there is a consensus and no learned scientists opposes their views. And those scientists that do oppose them are just quacks. This from someone who claims to have invented the internet.

Whether or not I agree or disagree with Al Gore is besides the point my biggest complaint with him is that he lies he distorts facts and embellishes the facts beyond what the original scientists wrote.

Sort of like the Bloomington, IL newspaper that called Micahel Moore out about distorting their newspaper aritcle in his movie to fit his views.

These people lie and distort facts and their excuse is that they are doing it for the greater good. Because they believe that you, hvacker, and I when informed with the facts, not their embellsihment of the facts, are not smart enough to make our own decisions.

Cristopher Landsea Atlantic Oceanographic & Meteorological Laboratory disagrees that global warming is causing increased tropical storm activity. But what the hey he's not a politician like Al Gore. He's just one of them hack scientists.

If you mess with the numbers, they'll give you whatever results you want. Why did they leave out the warm up that happened 300 years ago?

There are lies, damnable lies...and then there are statistics.

USA Today has come out with a new survey: Apparently three out of four people make up 75 percent of the population.

Definition of Statistics: The science of producing unreliable facts from reliable figures.

Statistics show that a full 2/5 of all sick days are taken on Mondays and Fridays.

I think Mark Twain made that quote.

There is something fascinating about science.
One gets such wholesale returns of conjecture
out of such a trifling investment of fact.
