Looks and smells gooooooood! Yes, I can smell it from Atlanta via the internet. P.S., I just got back from Cape San Blas FL, and you can keep those noseeums! I look like a pice of cubed steak now. Those little bassturds are vicious!

We camp frequently on the St Joe Peninsula and around late afternoon they suck. Beautiful area though. Did you have local folks fishing with you?

We camp frequently on the St Joe Peninsula and around late afternoon they suck. Beautiful area though. Did you have local folks fishing with you?We didn't have any locals with us. It was me and a buddy of mine who lived in Melbourne for a year a while back. I asked about where to fish @ Scallop Cove and the lady there said to fish around the bouyies close to the intercoastal. We didn't have any luck there, but the fish were biting up in the intercoastal around the old docks and sunk boats. By the time we went out and caught bait and found some fish, we had been out for 4 hours. My wife had all the kids, (ours and my friend's) back at the cabin and we had to go back. The weather was nice and you are right about how beautiful that place is. It's the best beach I've ever been to. We've been about 10 times in the past 4 years and it is always very nice, except for the bugs. ;)

Not to get off on a tangent but we got the cure for the noseeums.

Cut some 30 lb cyclinders in half and make smuge pots out of them. Start charcoal fires in the cyclinders and place them on the ground around your property. Put a hand ful of moth balls in each one. Don't breathe the vapors.

Do this for 2 days and you won't see any more noseeums.

I'm sure this breaks several state and federal environmental laws but it works.:o
