This came up during a fireplace discussion...

"Sound like a newer furnace you have their otter , Most gas furnaces have metal inshot burners that rust out from the propane fuel . Doesnt happen on natural but Id do a simple magnet check to see if their metal or stainless . Mostt he time the flames look bad on propane and its rusty burners . Another sign is a small dusting of rust under the front of the burners . Might need a mirror or ask your tech while hes there if they are ss or metal burners . Just another heads up on the problems with propane to watch for ."

Goodman GMH95, with propane conversion kit, first winter.

Opinions? Is this one more thing to worry about?

Otter not worried about global warming. Otter is worried about good stuff being sacrificed to keep the tree huggers happy.

And the monster under his bed, is that you, Hillary?

i would use the mirra to heep en eye on that monster hillory under ya bed

the burners will be ok as long as it is set up properly and serviced regulary

also have the pressure coming into you house check twice a years spring and late fall. Propane is temp sensative

the pressure can drop in the cold and cause you to use more then in the warm weather
