Have been listening to talk radio about it and am going to read the book. Has anyone read about it? It seem reasonable!

Read the book (though it's been awhile) and I'm a big supporter. I'm in the Atlanta area, a Boortz listener and John Linder is my congressman.

Problem is...it takes away much of the politicians ability to use the tax code to pander to voters, and that means it has a snowball's chance with the folks we have in Washington now.

I also listen to Boortz. Thats the perception I have gotten. Real interesting option.

Read the book and an behind it 100 %. I would like to see politicians go head to head with Linder or Boortz to discredit the bill that sits on the house floor.If We are in an economic downturn ( dont believe) this is the biggest boom out there. I love the fact it empowers people and not government

Roy, you are wrong ,dead wrong. Read the book or look at the legislation. If you have 3 cels upstairs it works. Periob. Lets take the power away from govt. and gine it back to the citizens as it was intended

Read that article and agree that our government spends too much! way too much!! But if cost of products go down 22% and I pay 23% sales tax while keeping my whole pay I can't see that a scam! I'll read the book and see

You'll effectively pay less than that. Retail prices and fees will go down because of embedded taxes being removed.

This is one of the problems with most of the critics of the Fair Tax, they don;t study it enough to understand the entire impact of it. Politicians don't like it because they would no longer be able to manipulate the tax code for political gain.
