i swapped one out earlier this year, it was about 3 - 4 years old. another one on the other loop was acting up intermintently, I never actually found out why, but it hasn't acted up since.
I purchased a tool that allowed me to replace it live, which was really handy, so i didn't have to drain the loop down, and could inspect either of these any time.

The switch is made by IFM Effector. The switch has a pot underneath the cover to adjust the sensitivity. If it is in the condenser water, the probe could be scaled. You can pull it, clean it and put it back in. You might try IFM website.

Out of curiousity... Did you install this switch? Or is it exsisting? These are sensitive to depth in the pipe, if you get it down too far in the pipe it may not sense temp changes or debris may get caught between the pipe surface & sensor. Stickerhead said a good one, scale. Website is probably the way to go.
