OK You wetted my appetite at the 2007 Comfortech Show. Since it was stated that Chicago was one of the locations for the 2008 Road Shows looked up the Road Show and it still has the 2007 schedule.
When will the 2008 schedule be posted?

I take it you mean the Comfortech Show?
They probably look and saw that the RSES International Conference is going to be at Indianapolis and scratched Indy from the Comfortech schedule

mayguy — No, you certainly don't HAVE TO be in the trade to attend the RoadShows.
mongoac — It isn't finalized yet, but the Philly show is being scheduled for mid-April. We'll let you know as soon as a date and location is locked up.

I think I've posted this before, but now I'm 50 and the brain ain't sharp like it was 2 days ago!
We brought the Roadshow to California 2 times and had virtually no one show up. Fact: In San Diego -- only 19 attendees. In Sacramento -- 22 attendees. We average close to 100 attendees in every other city we go to.
It costs a bundle to put one of these events on. We worked with CalACCA and two other California associations to attract contractors. We got a total of 41 people in two cities.
It's not just California --- we went to Portland, OR and had a poor turnout as well. Looked like a West Coast trend.
So we've taken a hiatus in favor of the East and mid-west where we get great contractor turnout.
Does this mean we'll never come back out there? No. Rumour has it that the San Francisco Bay area and/or Orange County might have potential. I guess we'll need some evidence of that.
If you West Coast folk are seriously interested in having the Comfortech Roadshows in your area, I'd start a letter writing campaign to me. If you want to work through a distributor or trade association that will guarantee 50 attendees minimum (meaning they'll cover the costs of those folks even if they don't show up), so much the better.
We are doing this in other cities and it is working well.
I hope this answers your question. If not, drop me an email with your phone number and we can talk further.

Ahh, yes. Our famous SoCal apathy. I did not know this, obviously. I will speak with some people at IHACI (http://www.ihaci.org/), we do a lot of training and have liasons with The Gas Co., Edison, and the CEC. I'm sure we could rustle up 50 people. I guess I'll find the closest road show and try to hit that. Thanks for the explanation.

I think it stands for Air Trans America.I get the top 20 travel deals emailed to me from travel zoo every week.ATA advertises low fares all the time.I don't take those deals.I just dream about them.

Boy was I surprised on Feb.13, 2008 when I entered the Hilton Houston Southwest and no one from Comfortech Roadshow or Hilton employee's knew anything about it. Fortunately the very helpfull staff did some research and low and behold there was a date change to Tuesday May 20th.

Greetings fellow Htalkers.
I bring you some sad news. Do to circumstances beyond our control, the Comfortech Roadshow Series for 2008 have been canceled. All the speakers have been asked to bring their presentations to the big show in September and our plan is to bring the Roadshows back in 2009.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
