Cheap tech still looking for a good deal on a slightly used heat pump for my personal home, thought maybe someone might come across one on a remodel job or something, Oh need matching airhandler. Geez I sound like some of our cheap customers, but at least I'll have to be the one to install it and work on it. Thanks in advance. I'm in NC near Winston Salem but I'll come and get it if not too far away couple hours or so. Thanks

got one the other day,3 ton heat pump single phase,Bryant system in very good shape,11 year old,bad reversing valve.I'm in Somerset Ky.,you ever up this way or interested?Man this thing had a lot of control wiring,I know exactly how to hook it up and made my own little scematic of everthing, this is a nice system IMHO.I'll take 300 for everything like it is or 500 with a new valve. This system has scroll compressor also.

thanks for the reply I just came up with one like 2 days ago. Lennox HP26 9 years old has leaking out door coil and busted rev. valve. Got boss to get Lennox to sell me OD coil and rev valve for 300 bucks, and to order me a warranty compressor since it still had a year left So I'll have basically a new one for 350 or so time I buy a od txv and put a new contactor in it. Wiring in it has been hacked to death I'm gonna put some before and after pics just for grins. Kind of like restoring a classic car but in our own twisted hvac way:D

I knew you'd come with something that would work for ya ,glad you could save a few bucks.Around here used units arent hard to sell, landlords love to stick these used units in at about 1/3 of the cost as new.

sounds like the landlords around here. If all goes well I'll have a pretty decent Rheem 3 ton strait ac in a few weeks. I got to go bid too take it out and add a heatpump to their oil furnace, probally going to see a lot more of that with rising oil and propane costs.

You should have been checking all the supply houses for scratch and dents. Got a good deal on a 13 seer lennox 3 ton HP 6 months ago for $280. Had to rreplace the scroll $35. and bend a little metal and it had a slight tilt but worked great.

:DI did check all the supply houses couldn't find anythng, even checked at our Lennox warehouse in Charlotte, I'm getting the compressor for free, and the out door coil, rev. valve and od txv for like 325 so it'll pretty much be a free unit. I got a brand new board and contactor plus condensor motor from a DOA unit that Lennox sent us a new one for about 4 or 5 years ago. Brand new unit for around 325 not too bad. Not quite as good as your 280 but still not too bad. Plus I get to restore it, not quite a 68 Corvette but still cool in our own strange HVAC mentality:D

Are you going to match the air handler to the outdoor unit?

Yeah I'll have a match, told our Lennox rep what I'm doing and he got me a pretty good deal on a new airhandler CB30 series
