I'm surprised there have not been any replies on this as of yet, and I don't know this gentleman's ethics as a buisness owner but my personal ethics and morals does not allow me to disrespect someone I do not know whether they deserved what they had coming or not and for whatever reason, but I'm sure his family share a differnt opinion of him than what the supply house or yourself do and I think it would not help their circumstances at a critical time in their lives with you making a mockery of his misfortune.

I was just wondering the intent of the meaning of weather it was an accident or not. Is that to say that someone paid him back, or is it to say that revenge belongs to the Lord, and he was repaid for his actions?
I can't really answer or comment without clarification.

Payback would be a loss of business or employees or respect....... not permanent injury or worse.

"]Here In OZ This Is a small area to work, a lot of companys, some movers and shakers, the good get better, and the crooks get run out of town, Here In OZ we are In a full blown recession, unemployment over 5%, there Is over 2k homes In foreclosures.
And a lot of HVAC companys are profiteers, cutting back on employees pay If they want there jobs, you know the type, "you are a dime a dozen" when you start messing with a mans family, Down here It will come back on you, just last week a service truck was torch, when he was replaced with a less pay person,.....I don't make mockery of his misfortune, ......I look at It this way, WHAT GOES AROUND COME AROUNDS.[/FONT]

If thats the way it works then you just got a bunch of guys with a loose screw. If someone cuts my pay I don't look at it as "messing with my family" I just fire the Boss, not kill the shmuck. He doesn't owe me a job.....

Remember your last statement...not having compassion for anothers circumstances also fits that statement.
Aren't all HVAC companies profiteers? I would hope the shop I'm at is, that's why I'm there, to be successful.
Bottom line is you sound as if you condone those who seek revenge in a illegal manner...not a very pleasant way of thinking in my opinion.:(

Grammer, punctuation and proper syntax seem to be foreign to you. If all techs speak and write like you do, I can understand why a contractor would get rid of you and try to upgrade his work force. Why don't you start your own business and hire all of the layed off Little people from the land of OZ? Where do you fit in at the Emerald City; are you the brainless scarecrow, the heartless tinman or the cowardly lion? Maybe you consider yourself the man behind the curtain.

so in your area, the economy sucks. Geee, you guys must be special
So your economy sucks, 5% unemployment and the boss has to cut back somewhere? You can either take a cut in pay.......... and continue to work, or you can take un-employment and starve.
So this "hit-n-run" is some kind of Pay back? or more correctly, in this case it would be ATTEMPTED MURDER, or if he is in fact dead, 1st degree murder?
You people have some serious issues to deal with, don't you.
No matter what this guy did in business, does it really demand that someone take his life????
God, this country has gone **** in a hand bag:mad:
I too am a firm believer of what goes around , comes around.
As others have comented in here Cracker .......... you might want to walk in his shoes before you start judging others.
Oh and you better take a deep look in the mirror and hope it doesnt always come around. BUT YOU TAKE CARE :D

i think you live in dream land.
politicians and companies rip people off and destroy lives coast to coast in every town in America.
it would be next to impossible to stage an attack with a vehicle and plan on getting away with it.

You DO realize that someone just messed with HIS family, don't you? I love the way some guys think the only ones that should lose money are their employers. Sheesh.

Wow. That's heavy, Pee-Wee! I can't imagine someone deliberately "taking out" the boss, no matter what the circumstances. Two wrongs can never make a right, no matter how despicable an individual may or may not be.

When people talk about how they ran their own business for X years, I can't help but wonder why they don't anymore. It seems like not many of them were very good at it. I'm not saying it's easy; competition is tough and good employees are hard to come by, but everyone has a story like this.

I love how some people try to justify things by saying it is the family or the children they are really worried about...... lol

Cracker in all do respect I really don't know why you would have posted this. I am still up in the air about if this was a planned attack on someone for a grudge over employment or a mear accident. Needless to say if I was an investigator I'd have to raise an eyebrow at you because of this thread assuming that there was reason to believe that this guys misfortune wasn't accidental.

Most people are responsible for their fate by their previous decisions. I'm tired of people using any little setback as an excuse to not try again to succeed. Or just plain using bad judgement and landing with a "crappy" life.
I doubt the victim had very much to do with his twist of fate. What happened to him was not fate, but criminal. If in fact it was an attack.

I am speaking from personal experience in so far as having been utterly screwed over by former bosses
I came very very close to loosing my house due to the unmitigated arseholness of one boss - I moved for a job and then got a "layoff" no notice nothing, another boss burned me after nearly 21 yrs service - suddenly I get a letter sent to the union stating I'm absolutly useless and cannot do the job.
When I left after finding it impossible to work there I did send several accounts to their compeditiors as a final salute well over 1000 hrs of work per yr - you all may rip me for this but hey its just biz right nothing personal eh? just like when my boss did to me - its just biz he told me nothing personal
I can see how one might think crackers way - I agree with him in kind.
Cracker could have put it more elequontly (sugar coated it)
Many Bosses think nothing of screwing over customers, employees, sub contractors, etc just to increase their own profits - yet they squeal like a stuck pig when some one burns them ( RNC GC)
No one is inmune from their own actions - I don't personally condone a hit and run however I can see some guys taking things into their own hands - I think its a really bad idea

I don't sugar coat any thing, I started this post, to bring to light that our business has gone down the craper, when profit and GREED run your business, The most out spoken people here seem the have a problem, that the person was fubar, for messing with people lives.
It could have been any one , a banker, lawyer, or any one who has the abilty to directly Influence the well being of other people, with no regaurd as to there out come, some freaks get off firing people just for fun of It, to justified there lack of morals, and low self esteem.
When owners mess with peoples livelihood, for what ever reason, It should be understood what might happen, not everone Is a sheep that will just complain, and stand around, I am sure that Is what happen there.
As for personal attacks towards myself, It shows your lack of moral conviction, maybe you get off screwing people for the "GREED" I was referrd to In another post as " LITTLE PEOPLE" I know what side of the fence he comes from!!!!.As for rest of you think about It, the next time you let some one go... just so you can replace them with a lower cost person, so your bottom line or personal wealth grows a little.
life suxs In a wheel chair just for a few extra dollars.

Are you abdicating violence as a means to "get even" with the owner of a company that you disagree with?:mad::mad:
If everyone KNOWS what the goof is doing? why is anyone still working for him?
Companies get reputations just like anyone else. The easiest way to hurt an unfair labor practice is to NOT work for that guy????
Ya know, I hope they find the guy that perpetrated this depraved act and but him in jail for life.............that should help his family out real well:mad::mad::mad:

I thought most employers would not fire anyone that is producing. With the only exception of those that are making really big waves.
