I'm looking for a great recipe for smoked salmon. I have had a recipe that didn't quite taste right, it seemed a bit too dry. i thought for a long time that this is the way it was. A coworker came in with some from a grocery store that was excellent. unfortunately the wont give me the secret. so you guys have any thing good
Baste often durring the process. Lime juice and other fruits will help. The hardest thing is not over cooking fish. Regards

Get the seasoning from costco called salmon king and cook it on a cedar shingle on the grill......let the wood smoke up for a while and you got the best salmon ever, I think!:p

Now is he talking about smoking as in "preserving" or "cooking and eating."
If he is talking cooking and eating that the cedar shingle is the ticket. I lay a layer of raw onion rings on the plank frist and then lay the fish on top. Since I am from the east coast I sprinkle it down with Old Bay. ;)
Who here has cooked a Salmon in a dishwasher?
It works....
Tinfoil, herbs, lemon and butter...
