if i were you i would drop the SM on the opening page, let that position work its way into a face to face interview.an exsisting SM reading that would "lose" your resume real fast here, they are very sensitive to that position being questioned or even mentioned.how about "field supervisor' to support the SM on new start-ups and supporting techs in the field.that SKILLS section try the word "strong" instead of "expert" they will slam you with quick problems and try to catch you in a guess or rushed answer on your part.with the welding try...familiar!they will be most interested on your driving record, drinking violations and drug testing any flags there could kill your resume due to insurance companies rates on those items...during your sitdown you can review those don't need anymore then what you have now.might want to list tonnage ranges that you have started up/repaired hellical, scrolls, recipracating, electric drives,absorbers...etc they might not anything because they are not familiar with the european market brands so that would be a signal for you to do the tonnage listing and styles.i have my resume (30 years in the field) i use for the NYC hvac market when i move around, and might get the courage to send it to you if your interested!

Thanks for your quick and detailed answer :). I don't know what to do with the drink and driving reports. I'ts not usual here in Germany. I don't know where to get these. I am wondereing why this is so important in the US, are all people drinking like crazy ? :D
The thing with the SM is a great idea, because an field supervisor wouldn't sit in the office the whole day.
Anyway, I don't know, if any company would sponser an german worker. I never have seen a list of companies who are willing to do so.
Thanks again for your response, I will hang on dreaming to move :).

Why are you wanting to move? Have you ever been over here to see what the real day-to-day grind is like? If not, it might be a bit of culture shock for you.
Remember "The other mans grass isn't always greener" and "The sun doesn't always shine brighter on the other side".
Read through some of the threads that have been posted here how some guys are having a real tough time finding work in other parts of the same country, much less half way around the world.
Not trying to discourage you. Just look before you jump. If you can afford it, Hey go for it. Good luck.

Thanks for your advice :). I have been in the US maybe eight or ten times now. Only for vacation. Of course not for work. I think, most things are comparable, but all other nations except Germany take the Life more easy. I worked in many countries in europe, and the work is done there good, too. We here in G. are sooo...dogged in our Lifes, I don't like that anymore. I don't know, if it would be better over there, but I have to try, to know it hm?:D

I say go for it. Just don't put on your resume or tell a potential employer that you are coming here so you don't have to work so hard.
