I was just in target in the grill/bbq section and they have a wireless stick probe wired to a small base and a LCD reciever that clips to your belt. But you can only select 5 different settings and it will tell you the temp when its done. and for only 20 bucks, obviously the technology is here so when is someone going to make a thermometer cost effectively and show real time low temps.

i saw one on target.com that does show temp, i wonder if it is accurate.
i know its cheap but it sure would be nice to monitor temps while working outside on the unit:cool:
how do we get fieldpiece to step up to the plate to design a cost effective solution

Testo has a number of wireless capable thermometers that cost significantly less than buying a 560.

Testo has wireless temp/RH probes for the 435 multifunction meter, but that kit ain't inexpensive by any measure. :)
