A couple of years ago, I took a bite of a Habanero pepper..........damn near decapitated me.
This Ghost Chile would probably cause spontaneous combustion.
Scoville Units (measure of a pepper's heat.)
Jalapeno-2,500 to 8,000
Habanero-580,000
Ghost Chile-1,001,304

they use a lot of 'scotch bonnets' here it is a habenero, I guess a milder one its only 300,000
still a light year past a jalepeno
the only thing hotter than those other peppers is the pepper spray the cops use, and the pure extracts

I've seen some posts about "Dave's insanity sauce" here. I wonder what it's made from.

The habanero is painful, I cut some of these peppers up to serve, and my hands literally burned, really glad I didn't have to go take a leak. I've never heard of the Ghost Pepper, if it is that hot I'll pass, I like hot, but that sounds too hot. I wouldn't drink acid...so I think I'll steer clear. Dave's Insanity Sauce, I got a rude awakening w/ this stuff, put it on some pizza once, thinking hey Tabasco sauce. That stuff will light you up like Christmas. Keep a bottle of it around more for laughs than anything, I don't much like the taste.
Just looked at a bottle of Daves in the fridge ...... In ingredients, the only hot thing it says is hot pepper extract, as far as whats hot.
Will have to look at one of my bottles of Daves that has the Chipolty taste........ name escapes me right now but its hotter than Daves insanity .
Daves ultimate insanity
Ingredients : Red Habaneros, Tomato Sauce, Hot Pepper Extract, Onions, Red Chiles, Garlic, Cane Vinegar, Vegetable Oil, Xanthan Gum and Spices.
Definatly hotter than Daves insanity
