I currently have a Goodman AV Unit (Model A49-10) and the Totalline Thermostat needs to be replaced. I am considering replacing it with the Honeywell Programmable (Model TH4210D). First, is the Honey Tstat compatible? If so, I currently have a six (6) wire configuration (Yellow, Blue, Red, Green, Pink, and White).
The TH4210D require a nine (9) wire configuration. Can anyone please provide wiring instructions for the Honeywell (TH4210D) using the existing six (6) configuration.
Any assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated and definitely a cost savings installation.
Thanks much in advance...
Depending on your equipment you should get by with six but you also may need seven or eight. My guess is you may need seven. Can't you pull some new wire?

Why does the Totaline need to be replaced?

Maybe it was a DIY install, and he left the smoke out.

I had a local repairman come out to advise me that the Blower/Fan was not coming on all the time. It was working spractic as best. When setting the fan to on, the Blower/Fan would continue run without freezing the coils. When set to the auto position, the fan would not come on all the time after the unit shut off and started again.
During the conversation with the repairman, it was either the thermostat or the relay switch. Have not had any problems when letting the fan run continuously.
Thanks much for any assistance.

The only whing that matters is what was hooked up to the old t-stat.You should be able to hook wire for wire to new t-stat.The only additional wire that MAY be needed is common.Because there are 9 wire hook-ups on new t-stat does not mean they will have wires hooked to them.Below is where you can get a manual if you need it.
