Lennox hc16 and Trane

Will a Lennox hc16 filter work with a Trane Var Speed air handler? I want a nice fit if I decide to go with a Trane system over the Lennox heatpump.

You should be able to put that filter on any system, however you may need to have a transition installed between the filter and the unit. The filter size is 17 1/2" x 28 1/2" x 7". If you post the model number of the unit you are looking at getting, im sure someone on here can give you the size of it to see how the fit is.
