Need to replace my old furnace (15 yrs old) and air conditioner that no longer works (> 30) old. I bought a Goodman replacement and I'm wondering if anyone in the Denver, CO area could give me recommendation or referral. Thanks in advance.

You are going to have a hard time finding someone to install "YOUR" furnace is my opinion.

It's kinda like me bringing my eggs to your restuarant and asking you to cook them for me.

You will be so much better off returning that furnace and purchasing a complete installed system from a good contractor.

I will commend you for knowing enough not to attempt the installation yourself though.

Now................let's see what everyone else has to say. :D

So you bought the same size furnace as your old over sized furnace was.

Ok, so I don't really know for sure it was over sized, but 99% chance it was.

I have to agee with Bob.
Better off returning it. And getting a good local contractor to sale and install a system.
That way, you'll have a warranty.

I'll send my brother over(computer technician) and tell him how to install it for you over the phone for some Fat Tire if you'd like.

Seriously, return it and hire a local. You'll be much better off.

The two I know there wont bother with your install. Neither would I. You designed it and bought it, now you install it. Why do those online Co,s expect us to clean up their messy sale?
They will gladly rip it out and do it their way when you had enough problems tho. Get a hold of me then.

Either buy it on your own, install it on your own and warrantee it on your own or contract out the entire installation. There's no in between IMHO.

I did the former and don't regret it one bit but I invested 100's of hours in planning, licensing, and studying everything I could. I loved every minute of it because I'm motivated by the challenge. Unless you have a passion to learn HVAC, a passion for DIY challenges and are an "anal" retentive perfectionist then hire it done because the time you will have to invest will be very significant in order to do it right. The internet sites make it sound 10X easier then it really is.
