View Full Version : Need Help Over and Under Package Heat Pump

I am looking at replacement unit (2 or 2 1/2 ton total electric) which needs to be an over and under package unit. I have found two manufacturers - Trane and American Standard. Does anyone know of others which are reputable, so I can get bids on the replacement? I have done Google searches, but haven't come up with additional ones yet. Appreciate any suggestions.

Does Bard have distributors in local area (Oklahoma)? Their site just lists representatives - mine seems to be out of Texas. Guess I just contact him and get local installer?

Bard used to be full line residential but has gotten out of it in favor of wall mounted units common in communication buildings. Might be hard to find someone who can get 1 unit and put it in. Bard is good stuff so worth followiing up on.

goettle, but they are southwest, maybe up there but not sure. You can tear off your over/under set up and convert to side by side and buy any brand you want. There also is a 1/2 crossover box but this adds to your roof duct and pushes the unit farther down the roof (or away from building).
