I'm trying to find out what HVAC professionals would be interested in hearing about in terms of hiring and employment knowledge.

For example do you want to see an article about interviewing? some analysis of the local job market? What is it that you as an HVAC professional might find interesting enough to spend 5-10 minutes reading about with regards to employment in HVAC.

I'm starting to represent some HVAC professionals in Boston because of the type of work that I do and I want to understand what kind of knowledge and/or help i can provide them to make myself a value added contact to their rolodex. I appreciate any insight!

Thanks,

Joe @ dxdt

Sorry, I read it wrong. I would have to say technological advancements and how to relate them to a new career.

For example, when OBD II, electronic fuel injection, etc. changed the automotive repair industry, we could have changes in this field very soon. The advancement of electro-thermal units built in Isreal and so on.

I'm sorry ckone but that reall didnt make sense too me at all!! so what articles do you want to read when it comes to employment in HVAC again???

If I were asking, I would really want to know about a persons aspirations and ambition. The people with the higher of both seem to learn quick, and take quality in their work. Training is always easiers when the other is really interested in learning.

Articles on the subject of ethics in the industry. Such as "how to find an honest work environment" or "be more than just a parts changer" or "integrity and profit, it's not impossible". I think you catch my drift...

PS - sorry about my picture, I haven't been swimsuit shopping yet this year! :D

I second the motion! Articles on where to find employment with companies that are ethical and honest in their dealings with both internal and external customers. I am pretty discouraged at present with the number of HVAC companies that are more interested in $$$ rather than quality. It doesn't make sense to me; quality would seem to me to drive $$$.

Where do you find a company with a high ethical standard and how do you identify those companies? Many are smooth and very good at giving an illusion of integrity. What are the clues to look for that might give insight into a comapny's true nature? These would be good topics for articles.
