Are you kidding or just goofing? I saw something earlier. But it was just a funning thing. Nothing personal.

Twilli used to be a carpenter. I wonder if he would recommend using composite deck board to replace the rotted 2X6 at the top of my concrete foundation. Or should I just replace the wood with womanized wood? Gonna have to go in the crawl with the spiders and millipedes (Steve Earl Snake Farm song comes to mind). Jack up the floor loists and replace the wood.:(

You should use Pressure treated 2x6 with a foam insulator between the concrete and wood.

Sounds like a hassle job!!

I'll do it myself and it will be done right so it will last forever. It's a miserable job to do and I bet anyone willing to do it will not enjoy their job too much raising the concern about quality. I don't want to go down in that crawl any more than I have to. It's icky and gives me the heebie jeebies.

Yeah, it's got bad wood in the crawl. Nothing terrible and I already knew about it. Brought the price down for me which is cool. I also need a 30K condenser maybe next year. Anyone got a 30K condenser they need "serviced" ?
