I had a TRANE air handler installed in my attic that was removed prior to finishing the install. The following information was a posted reply by a "Professional Member": The only operational difference between this air handler and the current 2TGB air handlers is that the current one has a factory installed TXV. If you add the Trane TXV kit(TAYTXVH0C3C for a 2 ton outdoor uni) to this air handler, the system will be 13 SEER system with a 2 ton Trane XR13 or XB13 heat pump. Note: The coil in this air handler is too small to use with an XR14 heat pump, or any XL heat pump. It is in the Orlando, FL area. Please let me know if you are interested.
