Problem..Need a new name
BBQ in the south is mostly pork.
BBQ in the west is mostly beef.
BBQ in the north is mostly I don't know.

Maybe BBS south, BBW west, BBN ???

The only thing they have in common is the grill.

Who should win the title of BBQ

I remember when I was a kid in about the 8th grade (1959) we got our first "charcoal brazer". No one cooked in there backyard before that time around here. It slowly evolved to "grilling" then everyone started calling it "BBq ing".

BBQing diffinately didn't start in the NE.

I don't know where you get your info, but Texas is famous for BEEF and we do grill pork ribs, shoulder and sausage.

I watch world series of BBQ and they did a cook off :
Memphis is#1:cool:
Texas is #2:D
Kansas City #3:rolleyes:

all the rest just need to get in line!

BBQ in the PNW looks more like a cedar plank with a slab of salmon on it.

BBQ in the Philly area..anything that goes on the BBQ
chicken..burgers..ribs..steak..
man I'm hungry.
today for fathers day we cooked up some burgers,chicken,dogs. and some fillet Mignon...damn it was good..then had some corn on the cob..
with a few beers...who wants to go to work tomorrow?
