I'm having trouble with a walk-in with 6 display doors. The problem is with one of the lights for the display. It has 6 lights, 3 ballasts. The display doors are made by Commercial refrigerator door company - "style line" out of Sarasota, Florida. My problem is one light won't light. I changed the ballast and sockets per manufacturer. I've swapped bulbs. I have 120 supplied to ballast. This is a new installation, we didn't install it. No shorted wires. Any idea's? I'm not sure what voltage the ballast is supposed to put out, I don't know much about fluorescent lights.

The voltage output should be listed on the ballast - should be around 600 V if I remember correctly. I'm not good with fluorescent either, but I think if you check voltage between upper and lower socket, you should read the 600 V. If not, you've got a wire that has been cut or came loose somewhere.
