How do you secure Pex tubing to slant-fin base board hot water. If you use copper you just lay on top of hanger that are provided. You cant have supports that far apart with pex .Pex would be for the return after the copper with the fins.

Try www.pexconnection.com As far as supporting the actual PEX tube, insulate it then use PVC conduit straps, that are loose enough it can slightly move. Otherwise you will get leaks at the connectors.

If you're talking about a return running over the top of the element, why would you want to use pex tubing for that? Generally those are nice straight runs and copper fits in the space perfectly. With PEX you need to insulate it and that my friend decreases the free air space around the aluminum fins. That could affect your BTU output enough to create problems. Even with copper, we increase the element by 10% when we have a return over the top. The advantage to using PEX is the time savings and smoother bends when you're running pipe all over the house. But since you need to solder the PEX adapter to the end of the baseboard anyway, why not just make one more joint and use copper all the way back?

Why do you have to insulate the PEX?
