We should be thankful we have an organized society here in the USA. I would hate to come home from work and find that on the street...

It all started by in 1980 in Kwangju a city in SW Korea. The riot police opened up with machine guns on some rioting leftist students. Nobody knows how many were killed but it was estimated at least a thousand and most likely more. The government admitted 300 were killed. http://www.hartford-hwp.com/archives/55a/184.html
Anyhow there was such an outcry there was a change of government and the police were restricted severely in how they can handle rioters. I was stationed in Korea 68 and it was a real hard nosed country back then. I keep up on the news from there like I do in Vietnam.
Anyhow they have riots all the time. The labor unions with communist leaders are at constant war with the government. The riot with the flame thrower was believe it or not from former S. Korean spies who have not been recognized or compensated adequately for there service. Over 4,000 never made it back to S. Korea. That’s why there were so fearless and the police didn’t have it in them to crack down hard on the veterans. Very interesting and wild.
