View Full Version : Take Down The Bird Feeder!!!

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.
But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table...everywhere.
Then some of the birds turned mean: They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket.
And others birds were boisterous and loud: They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.
After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone.
I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. Soon, the back yard was like it used to be...quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.
Now let's see...our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, free education and allows anyone born here to be a automatic citizen. Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands.
Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services, small apartments are housing 5 families and you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor.
Your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English. Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box.
I have to press "one" to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than "Old Glory" are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties.
Maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

Yep agree. Time for the US to take down the feeder! Let the freeloaders go squawk somewhere else.

I agree, but it won't happen. Both major political parties WILL SELL OUT the American public and legalize these criminals. It is already been decided, just like these phony baloney gas prices.

Yep. Anything short of a revolution in this country will make little difference.

You know, Glenn has a point there:
Back before the government got in the handout (er, charity) business (probably more accurately called the vote buying business), the churches did most of the charity stuff. And since there was not 'government' involved, then local folks made decisions based on old fashioned 'common sense'. Sure, some mistakes, bias, and prejudice happened... but is it not happening now with the government taking over charity at tax payer's expense... lets be real now.
I have always believed that charity needs to be at the local level ONLY. It does a soul good to get their hands dirty helping other folks. We all need to do a little of that on a regular basis.
And I for one do not understand why I should send $1.00 to the federal government, so my state charity organizations can get something like $0.50-60 back with strings attached...
Besides: If charity was local (and not tax based), then we could vote with our wallets for the most efficient charities...
Funny how EVERYTHING the government touches costs more and does less...

Oh, never mind..... We are.....:oLiving at the site of a Christian based organization which flies food and medicine all around the world and got help from the Air Force and Air National Guard which I was in and stationed at the same airport. I can honestly say no Atheist group ever had a Jet loaded out with anything going anywhere.

Maybe there was an athiest group under a christian guise so they could get the tax write off. These things can happen you know.

Well I guess our corrupt two party system can count on you to fork over 70% of your earned income to fund this never ending flow of daisy chain immigration. What a fool are you. Better get some cardboard for yourself and your family. You'll need it with that kind of numb-skull thinking.

You don't have to take on a Christian name to get a tax deduction for charity.
Try again.

Yes james, apparently sline, greer and a few other God haters on the forum get their jollies criticizing the largest single charity ever known to the human race........Christian Charity.
Christian charitable organizations are by far, the beacon of hope for the rest of the world.
Their donations dwarf anything atheist, to the point of rendering it a mere particle of an atom.
IOW, atheist charity is non-existant.
Goofballs.
